Dr. David Orgeron grew up locally, attending Cathedral Carmel School in Lafayette. He then went on to University of South Louisiana for his undergraduate degree before attending Louisiana State University Veterinary School where he graduated in 1980. After graduating he moved back to Lafayette and worked for Dr. LaCour and Dr. Doiron for two years before opening his own practice in 1982. He has been practicing high quality medicine, treating mainly small animals for the last 30 plus years. His special interest has been small animal orthopedic surgery.
He continues to enjoy practicing medicine in Lafayette, where he lives with his with his wife Margie and his two dogs Chewy and Scout. He has three gown children: Thomas, who has two children and lives in Mandeville; Stephen, who is married and lives in Lafayette, and his daughter Claire who also lives in Lafayette.
